Grandma's Birthday Okra Stew

Ingredients
1 onion (large, diced)1 bell pepper (medium, chopped)4 cups peeled diced tomatoes1 lb. okra2 cups whole kernel corn1 smoked sausage (any kind of sausage)1 smoked sausage 1/2 lb. shrimp (optional)Olive oil accent pepper Tony ChachereGarlic powderOld bay
Directions

1) In large saucepan sauté onion, celery, and bell pepper w/ olive oil for about 5

minutes.

2) Add okra smother okra down until okra isn’t slimy anymore add a cap of vinegar

to pan “vinegar helps to reduce smile”, add tomatoes to okra let it cook down for

about 10-15 mins, then add corn let that cook for about 10 mins, in a different

pan sauté sausage once sausage is sauté add to the pan with okra tomato and

corn ”drain your corn”, lastly add your shrimp. Simmer on low, covered, for at

least 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

3) Lastly, I like to use the seasonings listed above “onion powder, black pepper,

accent, Tony Chachere, Old Bay and garlic powder. Season your dish to your liking!
